1: Mains connection
D4 generators work at 90-130V/180-240V 50/60Hz.

The Profoto D4 uses two 6.3mm (1/4”) “phono” sync sockets, so your
flash meter and camera can be connected simultaneously
without having to unplug one for the other.

Sensitive also for IR-signals.
7: Auxiliary functions button
When holding down this button you get
access to 4 additional features which
are displayed in the power displays (10):
A. Interval – Set the time between the
flashes. Intervals of from 0.1-60
seconds are possible between flashes.
B. Sequence – Select a number of flashes.
2-60 flashes can be programmed.
C. Delay – Delay the triggering of the flash
with very high precision. Delay can be
set from 0.01-60 seconds.
D. Radio channel and zones. Optional 32
channel/4 zone digital wireless freedom
module eliminates the need for
sync cords.
8: Auxiliary function display
Shows the activated auxiliary
function(s).
9: Lamp head sockets
Special arc-proof connectors provide
safety while ensuring maximum
performance and ultimate reliability.
10: Power displays
Shows the power output for each head in
a user-selectable format of either f-stops
or watt seconds. Can be toggled back
and forth with the single touch of a button.
11: Ws/f-stop and Memory save/recall button
Toggle between showing power used in Watt seconds or
in f-stops. 3 memory presets allow you to record commonly
used setups for easy duplication in the future.
12: Individual on/off flash and model light
Model light on/off by quick push and flash on/off if pushed and held.

13: Power dials
By rotating the dials, 1/10 f-stop adjustments are made. If the dial is depressed while rotating, full f-stop adjustments are made,
giving the photographer unsurpassed control, while the display reads off the changes over the entire 8-f-stop range.
